History
All Broward Hurricane Panel Co., Inc. was founded in 1954 and sold exclusively slatted awnings and hurricane panels. After a change in ownership in 1976, new ownership expanded Broward's product line to include nearly every hurricane protection product available in the market. In 1978, Broward strategically expanded into metal roofing, under the name of Aeicor Metal Products, Inc., in order to increase its business activity in the winter months which is typically the slow season for the hurricane shutter industry. In 2001, Southern Metal Products, LLC ("SMP") purchased both All Broward Hurricane Panel Co., Inc. and Aeicor Metal Products, Inc. SMP operates the hurricane shutter division and metal roofing division under the dba’s All Broward Hurricane (“All Broward”) and Aeicor Metal Products (“Aeicor”), respectively.
In 2009, SMP restructured its business model to focus on its strength in manufacturing. This has allowed All Broward and Aeicor to provide its customers with the very best prices for the highest quality products.
Business
All Broward and Aeicor are engaged in the manufacture and sales of high quality residential and commercial hurricane shutters and metal roofing systems. The headquarters is located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where the two divisions operate out of a 90,000 SF company-owned manufacturing facility. By manufacturing all of its products, they ensure the highest quality and compliance with specifications.
All Broward and Aeicor sell directly to a variety of customers including homeowners, business owners, wholesale dealers, mass merchants, real estate developers, and contractors. Due to its close proximity to Port Everglades, they are able to ship throughout the United States and Caribbean.
All Broward and Aeicor have affiliations with several qualified and professional installation crews if installation of the product is required.
Aeicor’s CAD-based design team can quickly and efficiently engineer any size project with exceptional precision and creativity.
Products
All Broward's line of hurricane protection products includes accordion shutters, Bahama shutters, Colonial shutters, slatted awnings, roll-up/roll-down shutters, and hurricane panels. This complete line of six products far exceeds most of the All Broward's competition, which typically offers only two or three systems. Metal roofing has been gaining favor in recent years due to the increasing cost of wood and because of the greater durability of metal roofing in harsh weather conditions. Aeicor's metal roofing products include aluminum canopies, standing roof panel systems (standing seam, board & batten panels, snap cap panels), soffit systems, and custom panel systems (curved panels, pie-shaped panels, etc.). The majority of All Broward’s and Aeicor’s products have product approvals that meet or exceed the Florida Building Code and/or Miami-Dade Building Code.
